THE MOVEMENT
WHAT WE BELIEVE

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was crucified, died, buried, rose from the dead, and later ascended into heaven.

Salvation is by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, and is based upon the sovereign grace of God, was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received by man through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual.

All Scripture is inspired by God.

In the operation of the five fold ministry gifts in the body: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.

In water baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Eternal life begins either in heaven or hell. Where you spend eternity is based on your decision to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior.

God still speaks, and hearing from Him can be on an individual or corporate level through the prophecy and prophetic utterance.
MEET OUR LEADERS
Maurice and Michele Suggs
Maurice and Michele are apostolic leaders called to establish, equip, and reform. As natives of Philadelphia, they carry a deep love for their city and a divine mandate to see lives, families, and regions transformed through Kingdom order, spiritual awakening, and cultural reformation.
Marked by personal encounters of healing, deliverance, and freedom, they minister from revelation rather than theory. Their lives testify to the power released when identity in Christ is restored and purpose is activated. Together, they are committed to awakening sons and daughters to their God-given assignments and equipping believers to advance heaven’s agenda locally and globally.

Maurice brings apostolic vision grounded in academic and spiritual leadership, holding a doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Christian Leadership. Michele is a midwife by calling and profession, carrying a mantle to nurture life, restore dignity, and advocate for wholeness through compassionate care and community engagement.

Together, they lead a multigenerational, culturally engaged ministry that functions as an apostolic hub—aligning, equipping, and sending people to bring transformation across the church, community, and marketplace.

At home, Maurice and Michele are passionate about building generational legacy and joyfully raising their son, Micah. With faith and expectation, they look forward to growing together with Movement Church as a reformational community marked by revival, alignment, and lasting impact.

We recognize that many people today experience church as unreal, stagnant, limiting, or disconnected from everyday life. As a result, some have grown frustrated, spiritually dormant, or disengaged from local churches altogether. This was never God’s design, nor does it advance His Kingdom.

God’s desire is for the Church to be a living, Spirit-empowered movement—one that awakens identity, restores purpose, and releases people into impact. The Church was always meant to be a life-altering encounter that produces collective transformation and advances God’s Kingdom in real and tangible ways.

We believe in a Church that actively engages the world, reflects Christ in both word and action, and lives as a visible testimony of God’s love, power, and truth.
